CentraState's Family Medicine Center has provided primary healthcare in Freehold since the early 1990s. As an integral department of CentraState Healthcare System, we share the systemwide goal of delivering the highest-quality medical care to members of our community.
Improving Access to Quality Family Healthcare
When CentraState Medical Center became a university-affiliated teaching hospital in 2005, the Family Medicine Center assumed the additional role of helping to meet the expanding need for primary medical care in our area and enhancing the level of care for patients. Family medicine physicians are trained to diagnose and deliver primary care to patients of all ages. They serve a vital role in coordinating patients’ care and assisting them in navigating the increasingly complicated healthcare delivery system and accessing specialty care.
Family Medicine Model
The Family Medicine Center underwent a major renovation in 2005 and converted from a clinic model to a family medicine model, which is designed to provide safe, effective, and quality care in the 21st century. In addition to having more examination rooms, we offer expanded office hours, and have improved our capacity to accommodate same-day care and urgent appointments. We also can perform minor surgical procedures at the Family Medicine Center and have the capability to handle onsite laboratory work and other tests.
