New Jersey Al-Anon & Alateen Al-Anon and Alateen members are people who have been affected by someone else's drinking. They are parents, children, spouses, partners, brothers, sisters, other family members, friends, employers, employees, and co-workers of alcoholics. No matter what each member's specific experience has been, all share a common bond: They feel their lives have been affected by someone else's drinking.
Alcoholics Anonymous - Northern New Jersey Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for AA membership.
Narcotics Anonymous (NA) Narcotics Anonymous provides a recovery process and support network for men and women for whom drugs had become a major problem.

The Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network FAAN is dedicated to bringing about a clearer understanding of the issues surrounding food allergies. Oncology Nursing Society The Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) is a professional organization of more than 32,000 registered nurses and other healthcare providers dedicated to excellence in patient care, education, research, and administration in oncology nursing. The overall mission of ONS is to promote excellence in oncology nursing and quality cancer care.
American Cancer Society The American Cancer Society (ACS) -- a nationwide, community-based voluntary health organization with state divisions and more than 3,400 local offices -- is dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem through research, education, advocacy, and service.
Cancer Institute of New Jersey The Cancer Institute of New Jersey (CINJ), of which CentraState is an affiliate, delivers advanced comprehensive care, conducts world-class cancer research, transforms laboratory discoveries into clinical practice and provides education regarding cancer prevention, detection and treatment. CINJ also offers the latest clinical trials and experimental therapies that are sometimes the only hope for patients with certain types or stages of cancer.
The National Cancer Institute The National Cancer Institute (NCI), a component of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), coordinates the National Cancer Program, which conducts and supports research, training, health information dissemination, and other programs with respect to the cause(s), prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer; rehabilitation from cancer; and the continuing care of cancer patients and the families of cancer patients.
Cancer Care CancerCare is a national non-profit organization that provides free professional support services to anyone affected by cancer: people with cancer, caregivers, children, loved ones, and the bereaved.
Commission on Cancer An arm of the American College of Surgeons, the multidisciplinary Commission on Cancer (COC) sets standards for quality multidisciplinary cancer care delivered primarily in hospital settings; surveys hospitals to assess compliance with those standards; collects standardized and quality data from approved hospitals to measure treatment patterns and outcomes; and uses the data to evaluate hospital provider performance and develop effective educational interventions to improve cancer care outcomes at the national and local level.
Monmouth Cancer Coalition The Monmouth Cancer Coalition's mission is to increase awareness, education and access to cancer screening and care through developing and sustaining collaborative relationships within the community. The goal is to reduce cancer morbidity and mortality in Monmouth County. The Monmouth Cancer Coalition is sponsored by the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services, Office of Cancer Control and Prevention with the Visiting Nurse Association of Central Jersey as grant recipient for the purpose of implementing the New Jersey Comprehensive Cancer Control and Prevention Plan at the county level.

The American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), a division of the American Nurses Association (ANA), is the world's largest nurse credentialing organization. The ANCC's Magnet Recognition Program® recognizes healthcare organizations that provide nursing excellence. The program also provides a vehicle for disseminating successful nursing practices and strategies.
AACN is devoted to the practice of critical care nursing and offers information on continuing education and certification.
ONS is devoted to the practice of oncology nursing and offers information on continuing education and certification.
Rutgers University offers undergraduate and graduate nursing education at several campuses throughout the state. The closest campus is Western Monmouth, which is located in Freehold, NJ just 5 minutes from the hospital.
Monmouth University is a private university located in West Long Branch, NJ, just a 30 minute drive from Freehold. MU offers an RN to BSN program and graduate programs in Nursing.
Brookdale Community College is the community college of Monmouth County, located in Lincroft, NJ. The school offers an Associate’s degree in Nursing. Nursing graduates of BCC are able to easily transfer to a number of schools to continue studies toward a Bachelor’s degree.
Seton Hall University is a private university located in Orange, NJ. The college offers undergraduate and a variety of graduate nursing programs.
Thomas Edison State College offers a distance learning program for RN’s pursuing a BSN. The student completes course requirements in a flexible environment.
Ocean Community College is the community college of Ocean County, located in Toms River, NJ. The school offers an Associate’s degree in Nursing. Nursing graduates of OCC are able to easily transfer to a number of schools to continue studies toward a Bachelor’s degree.

Healthcare Quality Strategies, Inc. (HQSI) is an independent, non-profit healthcare quality improvement corporation. As an independent auditor, it performs quality-of-care studies and medical-records review for federal, state and private agencies.
Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations The Joint Commission is an independent, not-for-profit organization that sets standards by which health care quality is measured in the U.S. It evaluates the quality and safety of care for more than 15,000 healthcare organizations. To maintain and earn accreditation, organizations must have an extensive on-site review by a team of Joint Commission health care professionals at least once every three years. The purpose of the review is to evaluate the organizations' performance in areas that affect patient care. Accreditation is awarded based on how well an organization meets Joint Commission standards.
