CentraState delivers first baby born in Monmouth & Ocean counties;
Proud parents hail from Freehold
FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP — CentraState Medical Center delivered the first baby born in the New Year in Monmouth and Ocean Counties. Mikayla Elizabeth Dever, weighing 8 pounds 3 ounces, was delivered naturally by Elizabeth Scheff, MD, ob/gyn, of Healthy Woman Ob/Gyn at 1:57 a.m. on January 1. First-time parents Noelle Deluccio, 19, and Nick Dever, 18, live in Freehold. Mother and daughter are both healthy.
The maternity staff at CentraState is excited to have the first baby born in 2013 in Monmouth and Ocean Counties. CentraState presented the Dever family with a $100 Visa gift card, balloons and a stuffed animal to celebrate the birth of their daughter.
CentraState Healthcare System is a non-profit community health organization consisting of an acute-care hospital, a health and wellness campus, three senior living communities, a charitable foundation and a Family Medicine Residency Program, sponsored by UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
