The friendly, supportive nursing environment at CentraState Medical Center goes hand in hand with a great working relationship with all hospital departments. You will feel supported by staff and administration right from orientation. We provide an extensive educational period where we present our policies, procedures, and practices. You will attend a formal program with our professional development staff and then work with your preceptor, nurse managers, and educator on your nursing unit.
We have an RN Internship for new graduates and nurses looking to work in an area in which they have limited experience, and a
Student Nurse Extern Program that prior participants rate as excellent. And, the education doesn’t stop there: Approximately 450 approved CEUs are offered at CentraState annually. We are an ACLS/BLS/PALS training site and we pay for ongoing formal education and continuing education programs. We also have a clinical ladder called the Nursing Excellence Program (NEP).
CentraState offers flexible scheduling to meet your needs and a highly competitive salary and benefits program. We also have free parking.
We encourage you to participation our Nursing governance committees–the Professional Practice, Nursing Standards, and Quality Improvement committees– and invite you to become a member of any of these committees: Nursing Pharmacy, Physician Collaboration, Nursing Research, Diabetes Network, Patient Education, or your unit-based council. Nurses are empowered and have a voice in Nursing decisions at CentraState Medical Center.
We are growing, renovating, and expanding our obstetrical, emergency, intensive care, cardiology and surgical services. Please come and see what CentraState has to offer you.
