CentraState's surgical services are delivered in state-of-the-art facilities by highly trained physicians and nurses. Patients receive comprehensive surgical support for diagnostic, therapeutic and palliative intervention in the following areas:

Pain management for same-day surgical procedures, those not requiring an overnight stay, patients receive specialized care in CentraState's Ambulatory Surgery Center, located in the Donna O'Donnell, RN Medical Arts Building.

When appropriate, patients receive pre- and post-operative care in CentraState's Short-Stay Unit, located on the first floor of the Medical Center.

Scheduled procedures are performed from 7:30 a.m. to 11 p.m., Monday through Friday. Emergency procedures are performed as needed 24 hours a day.

Ambulatory Surgery

The Ambulatory Surgery Center in the Medical Arts Building is devoted to outpatient care, offering same-day surgery in a variety of specialties. The new surgery center was designed to care for our patient’s same-day surgery needs in one convenient location. With the advances of modern medical science, many routine procedures are performed with no overnight stay.

Ear, nose and throat procedures
Eye surgeries
Gynecological procedures
Laparoscopic procedures
Orthopedic procedures
Pain management
Podiatric Medicine and Surgery
Reconstructive surgeries
Varicose vein surgeries

Our general surgeons must be board certified or board eligible and some have more than 30 years of experience. Over the years, our board-certified physicians have demonstrated their commitment to their profession, the hospital, and most importantly, to their patients.

Surgical Short-Stay Unit

The Short-Stay Unit is staffed by nurses and a trained team of medical professionals working in collaboration with your doctor. It offers comfortable, specialized care before and after certain procedures, such as endoscopies, biopsies, spinal taps, interventional radiology, and various surgical treatments. By staying in this unit patients are assured careful evaluation, monitoring, and assistance with recovery.

The unit is located on the first floor of CentraState Medical Center. Hours are Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. through 9 p.m. Contact phone numbers are (732) 294-2892 and (732) 294-3796.
