Hackensack and CentraState Cancer Center Affiliation Services Coming Soon...
Greater access to clinical trials
In addition to the clinical trials CentraState and the John Theurer Cancer Center at HackensackUMC currently offer on their own, both hospitals will mutually participate in select trials. CentraState will conduct trials originating from HackensackUMC and, conversely, HackensackUMC will conduct trials originating from CentraState. This means cancer patients will have access to a broader range of clinical trials—right in their own community, close to family and friends.
Increased resources for genetic testing and counseling
Genetic testing and counseling services will be expanded. Board-certified medical geneticists and genetic counselors will provide cancer risk assessment, evaluation, and testing for both adults and children. Patients benefit from a collaborative approach to treatment that draws on the expertise of physicians in other adult and pediatric sub-specialties.
