Meet the Doctors
Oluseun Sowemimo, MD, FACS, FASMBS, is a board-certified, fellowship-trained laparoscopic bariatric surgeon and is medical director of the Bariatric Center at CentraState. Dr. Sowemimo completed his surgical fellowship in advanced minimally invasive bariatric surgery at Yale University School of Medicine, Hospital of St. Raphael, New Haven, Conn. He completed his general surgery internship and residency training at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, Harlem Hospital Center, where he was chief resident.
Jolita Auguste, MD, is a board-certified, fellowship-trained laparoscopic bariatric surgeon, with certification in robotic surgery using the da Vinci® Xi system. She completed her fellowship training at Penn Medicine Princeton Health and her general surgery residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, where she was chief resident.
