CentraState to Host Cancer Survivors Day Celebration on June 11

The Statesir Cancer Center is hosting its 10^th annual Cancer Survivors Day event on Sunday, June 11, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at CentraState’s Star and Barry Tobias Ambulatory Campus, 901 W. Main Street.

The free event is open to anyone who has been touched by cancer and will include brunch, a discussion and demonstration of sound therapy by CentraState clinicians, a vendor fair, and other activities. This year’s theme is baseball, and, back by popular demand, motivational speaker Rosemarie Poverman will present “Be a Warrior, Not a Worrier.”

National Cancer Survivors Day is an annual worldwide event celebrating life after a cancer diagnosis. The National Cancer Survivors Day Foundation defines a “survivor” as anyone living with a history of cancer—from the moment of diagnosis onward.
