The Statesir Cancer CenterĀ is hosting its 10thĀ annualĀ Cancer Survivors DayĀ event on Sunday, June 11, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at CentraStateās Star and Barry Tobias Ambulatory Campus, 901 W. Main Street.
The free event is open to anyone who has been touched by cancer and will include brunch, a discussion and demonstration of sound therapy by CentraState clinicians, a vendor fair, and other activities. This yearās theme is baseball, and, back by popular demand, motivational speaker Rosemarie Poverman will present āBe a Warrior, Not a Worrier.ā
National Cancer Survivors Day is an annual worldwide event celebrating life after a cancer diagnosis. The National Cancer Survivors Day Foundation defines a āsurvivorā as anyone living with a history of cancerāfrom the moment of diagnosis onward.
