CentraState Welcomes New Bariatric Surgeon

Jolita Auguste, MD, board-certified general surgeon, joined CentraState’s medical staff this past summer. A new physician of Prime Surgicare, Dr. Auguste brings to CentraState fellowship-trained expertise in advanced endoscopy and minimally invasive surgery with a focus on bariatric surgery.

Following her medical education at SUNY Downstate College of Medicine in Brooklyn, Dr. Auguste completed her general surgery training at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, where she was chief resident. She received her fellowship training in minimally invasive surgery and advanced endoscopy at Penn Medicine Princeton Medical Center, where she acquired her certification in robotic surgery using the da Vinci® Xi system.

Dr. Auguste has trained in prominent metropolitan hospitals, including Kings County Medical Center, University Hospital of Brooklyn, Brooklyn Veterans Affairs Hospital, Richmond University Medical Center, and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City.

“My focus is on empowering patients to regain their health and take back control of their lives,” says Dr. Auguste. “I look forward to leading my patients on a path to a happier, healthier future.”
