CentraState Medical Center is holding a free Baby Fair for parents, parentsĀ toĀ be and those considering a pregnancy on Tuesday, October 25 from 5:30 to 8 p.m.Ā atĀ CentraStateāsĀ Star and Barry Tobias Ambulatory Campus, 901 W. Main Street, Freehold.
Attendees can meetĀ CentraStateās board-certified obstetricians, pediatricians, family practice physicians andĀ childbirth and parenting class instructors; and win raffles and door prizes. There also will be tours of CentraStateās First Impressions Maternity Center during which guests can learn about the experienced and caring nurses who staff the labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum units and the Colette Cipriano Special Care Nursery.
A variety of mother/baby service and product vendors will provide information and free gifts as well. Participating adults can also get Tdap shots to protect against tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis (whooping cough) for a fee of $50.
There will also be a āMommy Mingle,ā where guests can connect with women in every stage of motherhoodāfrom trying to conceive, to expecting, and new momsāwhile enjoying baby-friendly refreshments. Participants can meet new friends, share experiences, and learn about CentraState’s new wellness programs for busy moms.
Something new and exciting to be offered at this yearās Baby Fair is āAsk the Expert,ā where guests can speak with a trainer from the CentraState Fitness and Wellness Center and a registered dietitian about nutrition tips and how to get fit and fabulous before, during and after pregnancy.

CentraState also offers a wide range of prenatal and parenting classes through its Star and Barry Tobias Health Awareness Center. Expectant and new mothers can find classes to help plan for a healthy pregnancy, prepare for childbirth, or learn how to comfort a newborn through infant massage, among others.
