CentraState to Hold Baby Fair on May 11

CentraState Medical Center is holding a free Baby Fair for parents, parents to be and those considering a pregnancy on Thursday, May 11 from 6-8 p.m. at CentraState’s Star and Barry Tobias Ambulatory Campus, 901 W. Main Street, Freehold.

Attendees can meet CentraState’s board-certified obstetricians, pediatricians, family practice physicians and childbirth and parenting class instructors; and win raffles and door prizes. There also will be tours of CentraState’s First Impressions Maternity Center during which guests can learn about the experienced and caring nurses who staff the labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum units and the Colette Cipriano Special Care Nursery.

A variety of mother/baby service and product vendors will provide information and free gifts as well. A registered dietitian will also provide demonstrations on homemade baby foods. Participating adults can also get Tdap shots to protect against tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis (whooping cough) for a fee of $50.

Attendees have the option to join three educational lectures during the baby fair: Pregnancy Myth Busters at 6:30 p.m., What to Know About Breastfeeding at 6:50 p.m., and Car Safety for Your Baby at 7:10 p.m.
