CentraState Healthcare System is inviting local business owners to a free seminar about health plan offerings for 2018 on Wednesday, October 18 at The Star and Barry Tobias Ambulatory Campus, 901 W. Main Street, Freehold.

Uncertainty about the Affordable Care Act is affecting premium rates and continues to unsettle the insurance industry. Here in New Jersey, the largest health insurer has proposed raising premiums an average of 22 percent, while others are seeking 59 percent increases.

To help navigate through the ambiguity, CentraState, with support from the Monmouth Regional, Howell and Jackson Chambers of Commerce and Monmouth Ocean Development Council, has organized a panel of industry experts who will talk about strategies and options available to small and mid-sized employers in New Jersey.

Gene Mulroy, founding principal, Capital Impact Group, will moderate the discussion that will include panelists Dawn L. Clessuras, executive director, Affiliated Physicians and Employers Health Plan; Vaughan Reale, VP of Sales, EmpiRx Health, LLC; Fred Morelli, president and CEO, PIER Practice Solutions; and Robert Pedowitz, DO, medical director, Family Practice of CentraState.

There will be a networking reception and complimentary hot breakfast from 7:30-8 a.m. followed by the panel discussion from 8-9 a.m.
