CentraState Offers Live Life Well Heart Programs Throughout February

CentraState Medical Center is offering four, Live Life Well heart events throughout the month of February at CentraState’s Star and Barry Tobias Ambulatory Campus, 901 W. Main Street, Freehold.

On Tuesday, February 2 from 9:30-11 a.m., the free “Show Your Heart Some Love” event will feature three seminars on heart-health topics, including the risk factors for heart disease that can be changed to promote a heart-healthy lifestyle; simple diet changes that can benefit your heart, waistline and life; and proven heart-healthy activities that may lower your risk of dementia, Alzheimers, and memory loss.

“An Evening of Meditation” on February 9 from 7-8 p.m. will allow you to sample a variety of meditation styles to help keep stress at bay. This evening’s program cost is $15, or 2 for $25 with the “Bring-a-Friend Special.”

If you’re interested in learning how to cook heart healthy without neglecting flavor and appeal, then the “Cooking with Heart” cooking demonstration and tasting is for you. This event is on February 16 from 7-8 p.m. and costs $12 per person.

We all know that stress can wreak havoc on one’s overall health. Come explore simple techniques that can help promote peace of mind and lower harmful hormones caused by stress at the free “Stress Less: From Anxious to Awesome” event on February 22 from 6-7 p.m.
