CentraState Healthcare System is pleased to announce The Manor Health and Rehabilitation Center has been recognized as a 2022 Bronze Antimicrobial Stewardship Recognition Program award recipient by the New Jersey Department of Health.
“The health and safety of our residents is always our top priority,” said Toni Lynn Davis, Administrator, The Manor. “We strive for excellence in providing the safest environment for our residents.”
These awards follow the observance of Antibiotic Awareness Week, an annual recognition hosted by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) during the month of November 2022 to raise awareness of the importance of appropriate antibiotic use to combat the threat of antibiotic resistance.
The Manor Health and Rehabilitation Center provides comprehensive short-term rehabilitation and long-term skilled nursing services for adults age 18 and older and seniors and focuses on helping patients and residents achieve their maximum potential for independence and quality of life.
The New Jersey Antimicrobial Stewardship Recognition Awards is a voluntary incentive program that encourages healthcare facilities to submit stewardship materials in concordance with CDC’s Core Elements of Antibiotic Stewardship, a set of key principles to guide efforts to improve antibiotic use and advance patient safety and improve outcomes. The complexity of antimicrobial use, reporting, tracking, and education in addition to the variability in healthcare facility size and types of care require flexible programs and activities.
