CentraState is Offering a Six-Week Diabetes Self-Management Program

CentraState Medical Center is offering a free, six-week diabetes self-management workshop for people with pre-diabetes, diabetes, and caregivers, on Wednesdays beginning Sept. 14 through Oct. 19, from 6-8:30 p.m. at CentraState’s Star and Barry Tobias Ambulatory Campus, 901 W. Main Street, Freehold.

The workshop includes weekly group education sessions, support from peers and take-home materials. Participants will be provided with the tools and support they need to deal with the physical and emotional symptoms of diabetes, as well as useful tips on healthy eating, reducing stress, relaxation techniques and setting attainable health goals.
