URGENT: Flu Precautions for Visitors and Patients

By |2018-05-07T11:56:22-04:00February 7th, 2018|

Please be advised that with this year’s flu season being very active, we are asking patients and visitors to follow special precautions throughout the remainder of the flu season.

  • We are restricting patient visitors to those age 14 and older unless there has been permission given by the nurse manager of the patient’s floor.
  • For those over age 14, we ask that you not visit hospital patients if you are exhibiting any signs or symptoms of a respiratory illness such as fever, cough, chills, body aches, sore throat or runny nose.
  • Wash your hands with soap and water or an antibacterial sanitizer when you enter and leave the hospital.
  • Cover your coughs and sneezes with a tissue or your sleeve.
  • Wash your hands immediately after coughing or sneezing.
  • If you are sick and must travel through the hospital, please place a disposable mask over your mouth and nose.

We thank you for helping us to keep our patients, visitors and staff safe from the flu.
