CentraState provides state-of-the-art, minimally invasive surgery, including the ‘da Vinci® robotic surgery,’ for conditions ranging from endovascular procedures to joint replacements. Compared to traditional surgery, minimally invasive surgery may result in faster healing and a shorter recovery time for patients. Our surgical services are delivered in state-of-the-art operating rooms by highly trained physicians and nurses. Same-day surgery procedures—those not requiring an overnight stay—are performed in CentraState’s Ambulatory Surgery Center. And when appropriate, patients receive pre- and post-operative care in our Short Stay Surgical Unit.
SURGICAL SERVICES
The Short Stay Unit, located on the first floor of CentraState Medical Center, is staffed by nurses and a trained team of medical professionals working in collaboration with your doctor. It offers comfortable, specialized care before and after certain procedures, such as endoscopies, biopsies, spinal taps, interventional radiology, and various surgical treatments. While in this unit, patients receive careful evaluation, monitoring, and assistance with recovery.
Robotic surgery offers an advanced, minimally invasive approach to surgery. It enables our specially trained surgeons to provide an alternative to traditional open surgery for procedures considered too complex or delicate to treat using standard minimally invasive technology.
Robotic-assisted surgery offers physicians the control, range of motion, and visibility of open surgery, but it also allows them to work through tiny incisions. This means that patients may benefit from reduced blood loss, less pain and scarring, decreased risk of infection, fewer complications, and a faster recovery time. Robotic surgery is available for many conditions and diseases, including:
- Achalasia (swallowing disorder)
- Colorectal cancer
- Crohn’s disease
- Diverticulitis
- Endometriosis
- Fibroid tumors
- Gall bladder disorders
- Heavy menstrual bleeding
- Hernia
- Kidney cancer
- Kidney disorders
- Obesity
- Pelvic prolapse
- Prostate cancer
- Ulcerative colitis
VASCULAR AND ENDOVASCULAR PROCEDURES
